M-07Second-Life Grading

A retired pack is not a dead pack.

An e-rickshaw battery at 70% is too tired for the road and still useful for solar storage, telecom backup or street lighting. Second-Life Grading uses each pack’s full service history to grade it, match it to a reuse and put a value on it.

What Second-Life Grading does

01

Grades from real history

A, B and C grades from the pack’s whole life, not a single bench test on the day it was retired.

02

Reuse matching

Each grade is matched to suitable uses: home solar, telecom backup, inverter banks, street lighting.

03

Estimated remaining value

A value per pack based on remaining capacity, expected second-life years and current market prices.

04

Pack matching

Packs with similar health and resistance are grouped so they can be combined safely in one system.

05

Battery passport

A record of the pack’s history and grade that travels with it to the buyer.

06

Recycling routing

Packs not fit for reuse are flagged for recycling, with their chemistry and weight ready for the recycler.

Current path

How it runs

  1. 1

    Retire

Packs that reach your road threshold are moved to the retirement queue automatically.

  2. 2

    Grade

Each pack is graded from its service history, with an optional short bench check for confirmation.

  3. 3

    Place

Graded packs are matched to reuse options and valued, with a passport for the buyer.

Second-Life Grading questions

Straight answers about data sources, hardware, accuracy and setup. Ask our team for anything else.

Does it work for packs we did not monitor in service?

Yes, but grading then relies more on a bench test and the confidence range is wider.

Who buys second-life packs?

Solar installers, telecom tower operators, inverter companies and storage integrators. The battery passport makes the sale easier.

Does it work for solar storage?

Yes. The same platform monitors second-life packs once they are in stationary storage, so you keep their history.
